Summer at Riverwalk Vacations.  We are located in Yancey County which is home to Mount Mitchell and has the highest elevation east of the Mississippi River.  Yancey County has the highest average elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cool evenings with comfortable day time temperatures. 

Get out and see the surrounding area or stay on the property for your entire vacation (as most repeat guests do). Biltmore House (in Asheville), Mt Mitchell, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, rafting at multiple locations, gem mining,  etc all within easy reach of Riverwalk.  Make as many daily trips as you want or none at all. Riverwalk in summer offers fishing, swimming, tubeing, hiking, competitive hammock riding, and a kid's favorite, the zip line.  Have a campfire at the pavilion area every evening to cap it all off.  All guests are encouraged and welcome to visit the barn/indoor riding arena area and enjoy the animals. All of our critters, big and small, are people friendly.  We have 200 acres of mountain land for the whole family to enjoy.

The hot tub is on your deck and private.  Our cabins have every amenity plus our beds get the highest marks. We take special care to make sure each guest feels like they are the first ever guests in the cabins. Our guest books and posted reviews on other web sites are excellent and back this up. Each cabin sleeps 6 featuring a master bedroom with Simmons Beautyrest mattress and full bath. The loft has twin beds with Simmons mattresses which can be converted to king size with advance notice. The loft also has a full bath. The sleeper sofa in the living area will sleep two additional guests. Each cabin comes with a full kitchen supplied with every possible cooking tool available.  If you need something out of the ordinary, let us know and it will be there for you.  We can even supply a porta crib to save you the trouble of bringing one.  The cabin comes with all new and fresh paper goods, detergents, firewood starters, coffee and tea service to get you going.  Wireless internet is included as well as Directv's best package (all the premium channels including movies).

Pack light.  The cabin has everything and the town of Burnsville is 10 minutes away.  There is a large modern supermarket, nearby ABC store, restaurants, and shopping. Burnsville even has a theater which shows the most recent releases and changes weekly.
